Teac NT-505 USB DAC/Network Player (Black)

The NT-505 is a dual monaural USB DAC/network player that supports DSD512 and PCM32/768 playback. It features a high-end AKM VERITA AK4497 DAC on each channel, allowing for Hi-Res audio playback at up to 22.6MHz for DSD and 768kHz/32-bit for PCM.

The NT-505 also supports MQA decoding and popular music subscription services like TIDAL and Qobuz, making it a versatile option for music enthusiasts. Additionally, it is compatible with Roon, a popular music management and streaming platform.

For network playback, the NT-505 can stream music from NAS or PC at DSD128 (5.6MHz) and PCM 192kHz/24-bit. It offers a variety of digital filters to customize the sound, with 5 types of PCM filters and 2 types of DSD filters. It even supports up-conversion up to 24.5MHz for DSD and 384kHz/32-bit for PCM.

The device is equipped with a 1/4" (6.3mm) stereo TRS jack that supports ground-separate drive for improved sound quality. It utilizes the "Bulk Pet" USB transferring technology, offering four transfer modes for different sound characteristics. There are also coaxial and optical digital inputs on both the front and back, along with a front USB port for Hi-Res audio playback from a USB flash drive.

The NT-505 comes with analogue outputs, including balanced XLR and conventional unbalanced RCA outputs, ensuring compatibility with various audio systems. It features a high-contrast full-graphic organic EL display with dimmer functionality.
