The majority of the total production cost of Modi 3E, including the chassis, boards, transformers, and assembly, goes to US companies manufacturing in the US. Although the wall-warts are made in China, there's some give and take at this price point. Additionally, Modi 3E is covered by a 2-year limited warranty that includes parts and labor.

Featuring the ES9018 delta-sigma DAC and DC-coupled output, Modi 3E is proudly made in the USA. It can be connected to virtually any computer, streamer, CD player, phone, tablet, or TV, but please note that it will not work with Windows 7 or earlier.

You can select different inputs using the conveniently located toggle switch on the front of the device. On the back, you'll find Coaxial SPDIF, Toslink SPDIF, and USB inputs, as well as a single-ended RCA output.
